This print comes from the 1959 German portfolio, Friedan Der Welt, or Peace For the World. The portfolio consisted of 48 loose black & white and color prints (11 ¾” x 15 ½”), reproducing artworks exhibited at the International Book Arts Exhibition in Dresden in 1959. The prints were numbered 1-48 on the versos, and each print also has the title of the artwork printed on the verso. This print is number 1. The portfolio Included Picasso’s portrait of Frederick Joliot-Curie, and graphic works by Frans Masereel, William Gropper, Makoto Ueno and others. Most of the prints are relief halftone lithographs, very finely printed.

This print, Lasting Peace, is in excellent condition for its age with no real imperfections. The top right corner has a minor fold which would disappear with framing. Print only, unframed. Rating: very good/near mint. Please message for any questions.
